Week 1 : RDS Configuration
We complete an analysis of the six available engines and get hands on with administration, scalability, recoverability, availability zones and failover. We will analyze storage and compute options. Our session touches on security with encryption how to’s with examples of encryption at rest and in transit.

Week 2 : Explore RDS Tier
We’ll examine the concept of machine images and how to harness the free tier of AWS to create useful resources. You’ll use secure shell and unix commands to create your own easily accessible and free to use server.
1 day.
Week 3 : Generate and Explore Your Own Database
We will install software on our newly created server and explore how AWS uses the concept of disk storage and compute resources to allow important services to be backed up and moved around when it suits you.
1 day.
Week 4 : Build on what you've learnt
You will now be familiar with how to create a website accessible globally, navigating Unix servers, secure shell (ssh) and more skills learnt in the class. Now we learn to migrate our server from AWS Lightsail to AWS EC2.
